Wore it around my waist on a five-mile trail run and barely noticed the leash at all, which is wild for a hands-free setup. The side-release buckle lets me cinch it down for running then loosen it for a casual walk without ever unclipping from my dog.
The buckle adjustment is so smooth I can tighten it mid-walk without stopping, and the lightweight build genuinely disappears when it's clipped around my waist. My dog and I hit our usual trail pace without any tugging or tangles, and my hands stayed free the whole time.
This is my third week using it on our morning trail runs, and the waist-worn setup with that side-release buckle is so smooth to adjust that I barely notice it's there. My pup and I finally move as one unit instead of getting tangled.
